Our 10-step process for quality translation:
Step 1: Initial Survey
We begin by assigning one of our linguists to read over the source material. By familiarizing ourselves with the content, we are able to visualize an outline that serves as a foundation for accurate and thorough translation.
Step 2: Translation
This is the stage where the bulk of the work is performed. Our assigned linguist combines careful research and expertise to produce a first draft of the content.
Step 3: Editing
A second linguist performs a full revision of the first draft, checking the syntax, grammar and readability of the document.
Step 4: Verification
The material returns back to the initial linguist to validate the corrections made by the second individual, ensuring that there were no inaccurate changes made to the document.
Step 5: Proofreading
A third member of our team reviews the material to make one last check for spelling errors.
Step 6: Quality Assurance
The final review of the document. One last translator scans the document, eliminating any inaccuracies and inconsistencies that were missed from prior revisions.
Step 7: Desktop Publishing (Optional)
Our desktop publisher inserts the client’s translated text into existing files or creates a new document layout.
Step 8: Target Audience Review (Optional)
Our staff send a preview of the material to members of a target audience. That audience provides feedback with regards to cultural relevancy and quality.
Step 9: Back Translation (Optional)
The document is translated back into its original language without source to ensure that the translation is faithful to the existing content.
Step 10: Final Delivery
Once all revisions are finalized and any optional services are completed, the translated material is delivered to the client in the format(s) requested.
